What this site is

This site is run by Micro Mobility Education Group, an Illinois limited liability company. It lists MMEG courses, takes applications for them, and hosts the training for people who are enrolled.

Applying

Sending an application is not an offer of a place and does not create a contract. We read every application and follow up. Places are limited and we may not be able to offer you one.

Please give us accurate information. If the applicant is under 18, the parent or guardian named on the application is agreeing to be contacted about it.

Fees, scholarships, and refunds

Course fees are shown on the course. When registration opens you pay your fee by card through Stripe, which handles the payment and the card details; MMEG never sees or stores your card. Scholarships are arranged with MMEG directly and confirmed in writing before a course starts.

Asking about a scholarship does not affect whether you are offered a place.

If you withdraw before the first session, you get the whole fee back. If you withdraw during the first two weeks, you get back the part of the course you have not taken. After the end of the second week there is no refund, because by then the parts for your build are bought and they are yours to keep.

If MMEG cancels a course, or cannot run it, you get the whole fee back whatever stage we have reached.

Safety

Our build courses involve real hazards, including live battery cells, welding, fabrication tools, and riding a vehicle you built. Before any of that work you sign a safety agreement and a community agreement. Once you have a place, MMEG makes both available to read and sign in your account before the course starts, and for anyone under 18 a parent or guardian signs them. Nothing on this website replaces those agreements, and nothing here is instructions for doing that work unsupervised.

Accounts

An account is for you alone. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. An MMEG instructor approves each account before it reaches the training, and we can suspend an account that is misused.

Course material

The training material on this site belongs to MMEG. You may use it for your own learning. Please do not republish or sell it. Some of what MMEG publishes is deliberately open; where that applies we say so on the material itself.

Availability and accuracy

We try to keep the course details on this site correct and current, but dates, locations, and content can change, and we may have to change or cancel a course. We will tell applicants if that happens. The site is provided as it is, and we do not promise it will always be available.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Illinois.
